The body of Tentacruel is blue in color and is quite a large creature. With two big red crystals on its upper body, this Pokémon can easily refract sunlight, shoot ultrasonic waves at enemies and prey, and store energy for chasing prey, escaping enemies, or battling. The bottom portion of Tentacruel's body is black or dark gray and it is from here that its eyes can be seen. Also from the lower half of its body, Tentacruel is capable of extending 80 stinging tentacles. It also has two blue arms or beaks attached here for holding down its prey.

Tentacruel’s abilities are exactly the same as the Tentacool. With Clear Body and Ooze as its main ability, its hidden ability is Rain Dish.

The best Tentacruel’s moveset includes Poison Jab and Acid. Tentacruel’s best sets and Tentacruel’s best tactics include Hydro Pump, Blizzard and Sludge Wave.
