The Poliwhirl evolves from a Poliwag at level 25 and is also a water-type creature. Its introduction occurs in Generation 1 and is also referred to as a tadpole Pokémon which means it can live both on land and water. Poliwhirl is bipedal and has a round body. There are two eyes that protrude from its head which resemble a frog. A black and white swirl is seen on its belly which is actually the Pokémon's internal organs. The skin produces an oily secretion that helps it slip away from enemies.
The abilities of Poliwhirl includes Water Absorb or Damp with a Swift Swim hidden ability.
