Also known as Butterfly Pokémon, Butterfree is the evolved form of Caterpie and Metapod. It is usually found in the forests or near the ocean during mating season. It evolved in Generation I, and in most of the generations, it evolved from a Metapod. Compound Eyes and Tinted Lens are the abilities of Butterfree, the latter one being the hidden ability.

As Butterfree is a Flying Pokémon, you can use Light-as-Air Casserole a la Cube recipe to attract it. You require a lot of minerals and some plants to stew this Butterfree recipe. Other than this, you can use Honey Nectar a la Cube recipe. This is generally meant for Bug Pokémon like Caterpie and Metapod. You can capture these to further evolve into Butterfree.
How to evolve Butterfree in Pokemon Quest
Ash was the first one to evolve Butterfree, and also the first one to set it free. Caterpie evolves into Metapod in level 7. Metapod further evolves into Butterfree in level 10. The involvement in the expeditions is crucial for speedy evolution. Butterfree rigorously flaps its wings to release toxic powder in the air.
