The Omanyte Pokémon is a dual-type Rock/Water Fossil Spiral Pokémon that is introduced into Pokémon at Generation 1. This Pokémon is resurrected from a Helix Fossil and is a tiny, light blue, ammonite type of creature. It has a total of 10 tentacles that emerge from a spiralled Helix shell which is dull yellow in color. The shell also has two rounded indentations from which the Pokémon's large eyes protrude. It uses the many gas chambers within the shell to help move through the water while using the tentacles for direction. It uses its shell to escape from predators and it lives primarily on the bottom of the sea eating plankton.

Omanyte’s abilities include Swift Swim or Shell Armor and Weak Armor which is a hidden ability.
