Your Pokemon apparently level up from expeditions. You gain certain Exp. by passing missions and beating various bosses. However, if you want to level up faster, you need to use the Level-Up Training feature.
Tip 1 from Pokemon Quest walkthrough guide: The Bulbasaur Flag increases the amount of Exp. received from Level-Up Training.
The last stage of the Nightlight Nook prepared four waves of enemies Pokemon for you. The final wave considers an encounter with the main boss of the level.
Gengar is a Ghost/Poison type Pokemon. It evolves from Haunter which you already have beaten before.
You will recognize Gengar by its violet-colored roundish body, a sinister grin on its face and large pointed ears on the head.
By the end of this level, your Pokemon may seem all tired out.
Tip 2 from Pokemon Quest walkthrough guide: You can use PM Tickets to collect the items you’ve found along the way.
Gengar can hide perfectly. Often it hides in the dark and pretends to be someone’s shadow. Gengar causes a frightening sense of tracking that you sometimes feel in the dark. This Pokemon is extremely mischievous and sometimes even malicious.
To fight it, you need to make the maximum effort. We recommend you to use Ground, Dark, Ghost, and Psychic types of moves.
When finishing Gengar, your team will discover the Longevity Statue, which levels up your Pokemon up to 50 Lv. The statue is carved in the shape of Arbok. Likely, it symbolizes the rebirth that comes with molting or the strength of Arbik’s deadly poison.
